2007-08 NHL scheduleAfter the 2004-05 National Hockey League season was wiped out because of labor issues, there was a lot of uncertainty about how fans would respond when it came time to buy NHL hockey tickets again. But it didn’t take long to find out the answer, as hockey fans showed their forgiveness by snapping up an NHL record 20.8 million hockey tickets when the teams got back on the ice for the 2005-06 season. That trend has continued and ticket demand is high for the 2007-08 NHL schedule. As always, Montreal Canadians tickets are at the top of the list for most hockey fans as the New York Yankees of the NHL go for their record 25th Stanley Cup title. It’s been 15 years since the last time the Habs hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup, but as the Canadians approach their 100th anniversary, fans have a new optimism in the Bell Centre. Montreal fans are also getting ready to buy NHL All-Star Game tickets when the showcase of stars comes to Montreal in 2009. Outside of hockey-crazy Canada, there is no better place to be a puck fan than New York. Hockey fans can take their pick of New York Rangers tickets, New York Islanders tickets or Buffalo Sabres tickets, and those hockey tickets are really in demand when any of those teams take the ice against each other. And while Madison Square Garden, home of the Rangers, takes the cake as the best arena among the three, Nassau Coliseum can boast of four Stanley Cup banners earned by the Isles in the 1980s and HSBC Arena in Buffalo is a big improvement over the aging Aud. One of the things you always hear about the NHL is how different the game is in person compared to watching it on TV, and that’s not just a marketing ploy by the league to sell more NHL tickets. The excitement, speed and violent hits of the NHL are hard to capture on TV, but they really come to life inside a packed arena. With a loyal fan base and a new crop of rising stars led by Sidney Crosby, the once uncertain future of the NHL is now bright, and you can be a part of it with NHL hockey tickets. |
